The information, photographs and stories on AncientBulgaria.bg have been researched, collected and put in context for over 15 years. It is being periodically updated.
This site complements two books, A Guide to Thracian Bulgaria and A Guide to Roman Bulgaria, published in 2015 and 2016 respectively. The second, updated edition of A Guide to Thracian Bulgaria was published in 2022. The books can be ordered here and here.
